Chatham Village Board approves payment of several warrants

At a recent special meeting, the Chatham Village Board passed a resolution to pay for several warrants.

The Chatham Village Board includes the village president and clerk, plus six trustees. The board meets at 6 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday of each month.

1. Resolution Approving Warrants Resolution 28-16

Trustee Clayton moved, seconded by Trustee Mau, to approve the payment of Warrants by Resolution 28-16. Trustee Clayton moved, seconded by Trustee Lindhorst, to withhold payment of a bill for Continuing Education for a Contractual Employee. Trustee Clayton didn't want to set precedent that the village pays for the continuing education of contractual employees. The motion to withhold that payment passed by roll call vote 6 yes, 0 no, and o absent as follows: Clayton yes, Kimsey yes, Fountain yes, Lindhorst yes, Mau yes, and Schatteman yes. Mayor Gray then called the original question. Warrants Resolution 28-16 passed by role call vote 6 yes, 0 no, and 0 absent as follows: Clayton yes, Kimsey yes, Fountain yes, Lindhorst yes, Mau yes, and Schatteman yes.
