Sangamon County Finance Committee expected to approve new hires

Chairs

The Sangamon County Finance Committee will consider approving requests to fill several job vacancies at its next meeting 5 p.m. today.

The Sangamon County Finance Committee meets at 5 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month.

Approval of Minutes from July 26, 2016

New Business

Sheriff, Wes Barr

• Approve to hire a replacement Correctional Officer at an annual salary of $33,875 effective September 12, 2016; the current employee will leave the payroll system on August 26, 2016

• Approve to hire a replacement Control Room Operator at an annual salary of $30,596 effective September 12, 2016; the current employee will leave the payroll system on August 12, 2016 Circuit Clerk, David Durall

• Approve to hire a replacement Criminal Misdemeanor Clerk at an annual salary of $26,374.72 effective August 15, 2016; the previous employee transferred to another department effective July 11, 2016

• Approve to hire a replacement Court operations Assistant Vault – Part-time at a salary of $11.01 effective August 8, 2016; the previous employee left the payroll system on July 1, 2016 Treasurer, Tom Cavanagh

• Approve to hire a replacement Accountant at an annual salary of $33,750 effective September 12, 2016; the previous employee will leave the payroll system on August 12, 2016 County Administration, Brian McFadden

• Approve Resolution to extend rural and urban transportation services in to Sangamon County SMART, Kate Downing

• Approve Downstate Operation Assistance Program (DOAP) Grant with anticipated grant revenue of $532,400; matching funds required

• Approve 5311-Non Urbanized Public Transportation Grant with anticipated grant revenue of $167,108; matching funds required LLWA, Anne Schneider

• Approve to change a temporary salary adjustment to a permanent salary adjustment for Diana Lathan, Workforce Coordinator with the current annual salary of $56,361.15 remaining the same Public Defender, Robert Scherschligt

• Approve to hire a replacement Assistant Public Defender at an annual salary of up to $70,000 effective August 29, 2016; the previous employee left the payroll system on July 29, 2016 Highways, Tim Zahrn

• Approve to hire a replacement Highway Maintainer at an annual salary of up to $39,391; the previous employee left the payroll system on July 15, 2016 Regional Planning, Norm Sims

• Approve Travel request for Neha Soni to attend the Illinois Bike Summit and National Association of City Transportation Officials (NATCO) Bikeway Training to be held in Bloomington-Normal on September 19-20, 2016 Court Services, Mike Torchia

• Approve to hire a replacement Treatment Specialist at an annual salary of $41,190 effective September 26, 2016; the current employee will leave the payroll system on August 26, 2016 OEM, David Butt

• Approve Emergency Management Performance Grant (EMPG) FFY2017 with anticipated grant revenue of $53,243; matching funds required
