Sangamon Sun

Rochester Fire Protection District responded to 65 calls in 2016, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System obtained by the Sangamon Sun.

The calls in Rochester included 33 fires - 13 structure fires, three vehicle fires and 17 other fires.

In all, the department saw $471,250 in fire loss - or about $14,280 per fire.

The department also received 32 false calls.
