Chatham Board of Fire Commissioners met March 20.

Here is the minutes as provided by the board:

 Call to Order

      Meeting recessed until March 20, 2018 at 1710 hours

 Roll Call

      Present were: Commissioner Staab Polk, Hill, Sullivan, and Chief Schumer

      Absent were:

 Approval of Previous Minutes

      Open and closed session minutes of February 20, 2018 were presented for approval. Motion to approve

         by Commissioner Hill and seconded by Commissioner Sullivan; motion passed.

      Open session minutes of February 28, 2018 were presented for approval. Motion to approve by

         Commissioner Sullivan and seconded by Commissioner Hill; motion passed.

      Evaluate additional preference points request from the candidates discussed during closed

         session

      Final Eligibility Roster information, candidate notification, posting was discussed.

      Review, update, and finalize eligibility requirements for the Lieutenants Promotional Process

         were discussed, Commission Staab Polk made a motion to approve the notice for eligibility

         requirements for fulltime Lieutenant for the Chatham Fire Protection District with the changes

         just made and was seconded by Commissioner Sullivan; motion passed.

      Commissioner Staab Polk instructed Chief Schumer to post the Promotional Process

         Requirements by April 1, 2018

 Closed Session:

      Motion to go into Closed Session at 1715 hours to discuss Employment/Appointment matters in

         accordance with (5ILCS 120/2(C)(1) was made by Commissioner Staab Polk was seconded by

         Commissioner Hill; motion passed.

          Additional points for new hire:

                     Suhling 9.5 additional points for a total of 104.50

      Motion was made by Commissioner Sullivan to adjourn the meeting at 1610 hours and was seconded by

         Commissioner Hill; motion passed.
