Call to Order: A regular meeting of the Auburn Public Library District Board of Trustees was held online in Auburn, IL 62615. The meeting convened at 7:08 pm.

President Ashley Foster presiding, and Lacy Strader, secretary.

I. Approval of Minutes: A motion was made by Carrie Pillischafske to approve the minutes of the February 18, 2020 meeting.

VI. Director’s Report

1. Facility

a. Storm damage – April 8th a storm exposed dry rot under part of the facia.

Bolash Construction came in to remove the dry rot and replace part of the facia.

b. AEC inspection of fire extinguishers and alarm -AEC came out on April 15th for the inspection. There was a wiring issue in the alarm that was repaired.

2. Staff

a. Work from homes updates

b. Library website – the website has been updated to include tabs with resources for COVID-19, At-Home Learning Resources, and At-Home Resources for Teens and Adults.

c. Facebook live story-times – staff has been reading from home.

3. Programming

a. COVID-19 impact on Summer Reading- activities that can easily be done from home are being considered.

b. Patron self-registration for temporary library cards (online)

4. Fundraising

a. Spring Book Sale cancelled – add an extra day or hours to Fall Sale

b. Library Friends Group – we would like to have one created if volunteers can be found.
