Analysis: Williamsville administrators rank 580th in state for average pay

Administrators in Williamsville Community Unit School District 15 earn an average of $93,012 per year, ranking 580th out of 864 districts in Illinois, according to a Sangamon Sun analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card.

The 2020 average is 1 percent lower than in 2016 and 0.9 percent lower than in 2011. District administrators make 16.4 percent less than the state average of $111,293.

Administrator salaries depend on the district's size, location and resources, as well as the individual's level of experience and education, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

The Williamsville School District in Sangamon County enrolled 1542 students in 2019-2020. There is an average of 193 students for every administrator, compared to a statewide ratio of 171 to 1.
