Sangamon County Board Road and Bridge Committee met April 24

Here is the agenda provided by the committee:

1. Call to Order 

2. Roll Call/Sign In of Committee Members 

3. Approval of the minutes of the March 27, 2024 Road & Bridge Committee Meeting. 

4. Acceptance of Expenditure Report. 

5. Approval of Resolutions & Ordinances. 

a. Resolution approving a joint funding agreement with the Illinois Department of Transportation for a pavement preservation project on CH 37 - Cardinal Hill Rd, CH-43 East Lake Shore Dr, and CH-56 Rochester Rd. 

b. Resolution approving the FY2024 County Highway bituminous material contracts. 

c. Resolution approving the FY2024 County Highway aggregate material contracts. 

d. Resolution approving the FY2024 County Highway miscellaneous material contracts. 

e. Resolution approving the FY2024 Township bituminous material motor fuel tax contracts.

6. Committee Approvals. 

a. Approval for a purchase order in the amount of $9,100 to Springfield Overhead Doors, Inc. for a maintenance and repairs for overhead doors on the County Highway complex. 

b. Approval to hire one (1) highway crew chief.

7. Old Business 

a. Highway Department Contract Update 

b. Seasonal posted roadways

8. New Business 

a. Traffic signal upgrade at Bradfordton Rd and Old Jacksonville Rd 

9. Public Comment 

10. Next County Board meeting date - Tuesday, May 14, 2024. 

11. Next Road & Bridge Committee meeting date - Wednesday, May 29, 2024.
