BALL-CHATHAM COMMUNITY UNIT SCHOOL DISTRICT 5: After the Thanksgiving Holiday
0Comments

Ball-Chatham Community Unit School District 5 issued the following announcement on Nov. 25.

With the Thanksgiving holiday coming up and winter break just around the corner, we encourage all families to first consider the current IDPH Covid-19 travel guidance (https://www.dph.illinois.gov/covid19/travel) before embarking on any travel or attending large family or social gatherings.

If any of our in-person students travel or are in large gatherings, we suggest that they self-quarantine the following week. These days will be considered excused absences from in-person attendance.

If parents/guardians choose to self-quarantine their children the following week, they should email their school’s attendance secretary and their child’s teachers so they are aware. Teachers will then instruct students on how to access their work and materials. Teachers will also share if there is a virtual class meeting that week that they may attend.

We appreciate your efforts in helping us maintain our hybrid learning!
