Tragedy struck the Chatham community yesterday afternoon when a vehicle accident claimed the lives of four young girls. Around 3:30 p.m., a car went off the road, drove through a field, and crashed into YNOT Outdoors Summer and After School Camp, striking several individuals. The victims were two 7-year-olds, an 8-year-old, and an 18-year-old. Others sustained injuries and were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.

The girls were cherished members of the community, regarded as bright symbols with promising futures. Chatham, known for its close-knit ties and small-town spirit, is mourning together.

To those directly affected, the community offers its deepest condolences. Residents hope that the families find some solace in knowing their loved ones will be remembered fondly by many.

The memory of these young lives is expected to bring strength to the community during this difficult time. They will not be forgotten.
