Enhanced announced on April 28 a lineup of broadcasters for the first Enhanced Games, which will air live on May 24 from Resorts World in Las Vegas. Former NFL player Emmanuel Acho will serve as the main studio anchor, joined by MLB Network host Abby Labar at the main broadcast desk.
The event is positioned as an innovative sports competition that aims to combine athletic performance with scientific analysis. Maximilian Martin, CEO of Enhanced, said, “The first Enhanced Games is going to revolutionize how we think about sports which made it critical to have hosts who can deliver the excitement for our viewers tuning in from around the world.” Martin also said, “Emmanuel is a prominent and trusted voice in the U.S. sports media landscape and together with Abby Labar will curate an incredible evening of world-record-breaking action for our viewers.”
Bryan Johnson will join as Human Enhancement Analyst. Johnson is known for his longevity research and was featured in a Netflix documentary about efforts to extend human life. According to Martin, “Bryan is arguably the most aligned person to Enhanced’s mission, and we are excited to have him provide his expert commentary on athlete protocols, health and performance, as it will dramatically elevate our broadcast team.” Martin added: “Simply put, there is no more credible voice in the world on the positive impacts of longevity medicine than Bryan and we’re overjoyed to have him as part of the broadcast.”
Oliver Trevena has been named entertainment correspondent and will provide behind-the-scenes coverage throughout the event. Play-by-play announcing duties go to Justin Kutcher while Sam Quek—a former Olympic gold medalist—will act as sideline reporter.
The Enhanced Games aim to promote scientific innovation in elite sport by focusing on transparency and athlete welfare through medical supervision at their events. The competition promises significant financial incentives for participants at its debut event.
