Riley Gardner, Haley Garrett, and Aleese Trimingham each secured victories for Illinois College at the Hilltop Classic held Friday at King Fieldhouse in Jacksonville, Illinois.
Trimingham won the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.02 seconds, marking the fastest performance in the Midwest Conference this season. Garrett finished first in the 200 meters with a time of 26.07 seconds, also setting a conference-leading mark. Gardner took first place in the high jump by clearing 1.60 meters.
In other field events, Ellie Bartling finished second with a mark of 11.50 meters. Natalie Hasting was runner-up in the weight throw at 15.19 meters, while Delanie Teno (third, 15.12 meters) and Kevlynn DeJaynes (fourth, 14.90 meters) also placed among the top five. Deniyah Lockman took fourth in the triple jump with a leap of 10.15 meters.
Garrett was joined by McKenzie Murray (second, 26.48 seconds) and Deja Anderson (fourth, 27.15 seconds) in the top finishes for the 200 meters event. Kami Rhoades placed second in the 400 meters with a time of 1:03.19; Ashley Watson finished two places behind her at 1:05.44.
Murray also earned third place in the 60 meters with an effort of 8.07 seconds.
The Lady Blues will next compete at the Midwest Conference Indoor Championships on Friday and Saturday in Grinnell, Iowa.
