Greenberg Traurig, LLP announced on April 2 the addition of Beverly Oliver as a shareholder in its Health Care & FDA Practice at the firm’s Dallas office. Oliver joins from SightGrowth Partners, where she served as chief legal officer and general counsel.

The appointment is significant for Greenberg Traurig’s efforts to expand its capabilities in health care law, particularly in Texas. The firm said Oliver brings experience representing private equity funds, health systems, and medical practices across multiple states, with a focus on complex transactions and regulatory compliance.

“Beverly is a trusted adviser with deep experience working within the health care sector, spearheading legal transformation in high-growth environments. Her ability to guide organizations through complex change while delivering sound, forward-thinking counsel is what makes her such a powerful and effective strategic change agent,” said Richard A. Rosenbaum, Greenberg Traurig’s Executive Chairman. “Beverly’s business-oriented perspective and extensive in-house counsel background add tremendous value to our growing team in Texas and to our dynamic Health Care & FDA Practice. Her arrival reflects our continued commitment to bringing world-class talent to bear for clients in Texas, where we have been for more than 20 years, across the country, and around the globe.”

Lawson S. Parker, co-chair of the firm’s Health Care & FDA Practice said: “Beverly understands health care not just as a legal discipline, but as an industry. She knows how it operates, how it is regulated, and what is truly at stake when transactions close and the real work begins, which is a true asset for clients.” Parker added that Oliver would bring her regulatory structuring expertise directly to private equity clients.

Oliver has managed legal teams for health care companies overseeing compliance functions and working closely with executive leadership on issues such as corporate integrity agreements and regulatory investigations. Joseph F. Coniglio described her dual experience from both client-side roles and counsel positions as invaluable: “She has an invaluable perspective… That kind of dual vantage point sharpens a lawyer in ways that are immediately felt by the clients they serve.” In response to her new role at Greenberg Traurig Oliver said: “Health care executives and operators are facing real pressures every day… Greenberg Traurig’s global platform and the depth of its health care practice will allow me to support those clients while building a practice that is truly my own.” Beyond her professional work she volunteers with local organizations including Girls on the Run.

Greenberg Traurig reports having approximately 3,100 lawyers across 51 locations worldwide serving diverse industries with strategic legal services.
