Hosting.com announced on March 25 the launch of its new AI Application Studio & Hosting platform, designed to help developers and businesses build, deploy, and operate AI-generated applications securely and quickly. The platform is powered by Cloudflare Enterprise, AMD EPYC infrastructure, and Nova by WebPros.
The release comes as more businesses are using AI tools to create software without always having the necessary infrastructure or security expertise. This trend has led to a gap between how easily software can be built with AI and how securely it can be deployed in production environments.
Hosting.com’s new platform aims to close this gap by combining AI-powered development tools with enterprise-grade infrastructure. “Today, we’re taking it a step beyond AI website builders and making it easier and more secure than ever for developers and businesses to get from idea to domain,” said Ben Gabler, Chief Product Officer at hosting.com. The company reports that 92% of US developers use AI coding tools, while globally 82% use them weekly. However, 75% of research and development leaders have concerns about security risks related to AI-generated code.
The platform supports two main functions: ‘Build,’ which uses the Nova-powered studio developed with WebPros; and ‘Launch,’ which allows deployment of applications made in other tools into a secure environment. Dave Koston, Senior Vice President of Software Engineering at hosting.com said: “We are at an early stage of AI-assisted development, but the models and tools are already causing a dramatic shift in what’s possible,” adding that their goal is to provide the best deployment platform for these creations.
Key features include content delivery network performance through Cloudflare Enterprise, computing power from AMD EPYC servers, integrated security protections, instant deployments, and compatibility with leading development tools. Seb de Lemos, CEO at hosting.com said: “The software and applications being created today are often put together by people who, six months ago, you wouldn’t believe would be building.” Jesse Asklund from WebPros added: “Nova is redefining how businesses and teams create digital experiences… We’re thrilled to expand our partnership with hosting.com.”
