The Illinois College Dance team achieved two top-four placements at The Dance Union National Championships, held April 12 at the Orange County Convention Center West Complex in Orlando, Florida.
These results highlight the team’s ongoing participation in collegiate dance competitions. The team finished third in the team performance category with a score of 86.30, following North Central and Catholic University, who scored 90.38 and 88.72 respectively. In the jazz category, Illinois College placed fourth with a score of 89.04; the University of New England led this event with a score of 91.00.
In addition to its competitive success, Illinois College was presented with a Legacy award plaque recognizing five years of consistent dedication to competing at Dance Team Union’s College Classic National Championship.
Illinois College Blue Boys and Lady Blues Dance participates as an intercollegiate athletics program at the NCAA Division III level according to the official athletics website. The program aligns with the Midwest Conference through Illinois College athletics as noted on its official site and features student-athletes from various undergraduate class years according to its roster.
