The Illinois College men’s golf team finished in 13th place out of 15 teams at the Cougar Spring Shootout, hosted by Illinois Central College at Weibring Golf Club in Bloomington on March 30. The Blueboys recorded a total score of 665 over two rounds, with an opening round of 320 followed by a second-round score of 340.
This tournament is part of the seasonal schedule for Illinois College Blue Boys Golf, which regularly takes part in collegiate competitions according to the official athletics website. Myles Kampwerth led the team with rounds of 74 and 82, finishing tied for 25th overall at +14. His first-round score was also the lowest for Illinois College during the event.
Other contributors included AJ Odle with scores of 82 and 82 (+22), Teddy Walbaum who posted a total score of +30 over two rounds, Emmitt Brokaw finishing at +39, and Drake Bartos completing his play at +32. Zach Diekemper (+25), Isaac Anderson (+31), and Ian Otto (+35) also participated as individuals for Illinois College.
Illinois College Blue Boys Golf competes under NCAA Division III rules as part of the Midwest Conference according to the official athletics website.
