The Illinois College men’s soccer team began its 2025 season with a scoreless draw against Simpson College on Saturday evening at Buxton Stadium in Indianola, Iowa.

Illinois College outshot Simpson 11-8 during the match. Tyler Lunning led the Blueboys with five shots, while Carter Uhlmann contributed two shots. Goalkeeper T.J. Esseily made three saves to keep the game level.

The Blueboys will continue their opening road trip with a non-conference game against Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois, scheduled for Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
