The Illinois College women’s tennis team defeated Kaskaskia by a score of 7-0 on Mar. 24 at the Bellatti Tennis Complex in Jacksonville, Illinois.
This win brings Illinois College’s season record to 13-7-1. The match saw the Lady Blues sweep all doubles and singles contests, resulting in a shutout victory.
The doubles matches began with Alyssa Wise and Clara Bach winning in straight sets at No. 1, while Lily Ingram and Sabrina Ingram took a 6-1 win at No. 2. Morgan Keefe and Madison Eastin also secured a 6-1 victory as the No. 3 pair.
In singles play, Sabrina Ingram won her match without dropping a game (6-0, 6-0) at No. 6 singles. Wise (No. 1), Bach (No. 2), and Lily Ingram (No. 3) each recorded victories of 6-0, 6-1. Eastin won her match at No.5 with scores of 6-1, 6-1, while Keefe finished the sweep with a tighter contest (6-4, 6-4) at No.4.
