Illinois State Museum issued the following announcement on Dec. 19.

Join us online January 9, 2021 for Ask Dr. Art: Let’s Look! Get a sneak peek at our new family art exhibit Let’s Look and learn to how to look at and talk about art! Register for this FREE event at the link below: bit.ly/DrArtRegistration

Just like movies or stories, art can make you feel happy, excited, sad, or unsure. Sometimes art can be very confusing and that’s okay. Go behind-the-scenes to see a few art works from the new exhibit and ask your questions to our resident art expert, Dr. Art (Director of Research and Collections, Robert Sill)! Children and families will learn about different kinds of art, the elements that make them, and how to look closer together.

If you can’t join live, you’ll be able to view the program on the Museum’s YouTube channel after the event. You can also try some art activities inspired by the program on the ISM Family Fun website.
