ISX Financial EU Plc announced on March 23 that its shareholders have approved a change of the company’s name to Xryma Plc, effective immediately.

The change reflects the company’s evolution as a provider of financial technology and infrastructure across multiple markets and service areas. The new name, Xryma, is derived from the Greek word for money or valuable asset, emphasizing both the company’s Greek roots and its role in the global payments ecosystem.

Christakis Taoushanis, non-executive chairman of Xryma Plc, said: “This is an important milestone in the development of the Group. The transition to Xryma reflects both our roots and the scale of our ambitions. As our company has evolved from a single operating entity into a broader ecosystem of regulated services, infrastructure and technology, it is important that our corporate identity properly reflects this scope. Xryma provides a foundation aligned with our long-term strategy and commitment to delivering secure, reliable and compliant products and services within the payments ecosystem.”

The parent company will now operate under the name Xryma Plc as a publicly listed entity. However, ISX Financial will remain unchanged as the main European Economic Area-licensed subsidiary offering financial products while maintaining regulatory obligations. Nikogiannis (John) Karantzis, managing director and group chief executive officer of Xryma Plc, said: “Our strategic priorities remain unchanged. The Group continues to focus on disciplined growth and operational resilience to create long-term value for its shareholders. The adoption of the name Xryma complements this direction while ensuring continuity in our financial and regulatory framework. The subsidiaries of Xryma will continue serving customers in e-money and payment services under ‘ISX Financial’, while ‘Xryma’ represents our corporate activities.”

The rollout of new branding will take place over coming weeks across communications channels including websites and official documents.
