Illinois College women’s basketball player Jayln Patterson has been named to the First Team All-Midwest Conference, as announced by the league. Patterson, a senior from Plainfield, Illinois, previously received Second Team honors last season.
This year, Patterson led Illinois College in scoring with an average of 14.5 points per game and shot 45 percent from the field. During conference play, she averaged 15.5 points and 6.9 rebounds per game.
Patterson’s contributions were significant on both offense and defense. She recorded 172 rebounds, 36 blocks, and 30 steals over the season. Her total of 36 blocks is among the highest for a single season in program history.
She ranked third in the conference for scoring at 15.5 points per game, sixth in rebounding, fourth in field goal percentage, and second in blocks.
Patterson concludes her career at Illinois College ranked ninth all-time with 1,139 career points, eighth with 622 rebounds, and third with 88 career blocks.
The Lady Blues ended their season with a record of 12-13 overall and secured an even mark of 8-8 in Midwest Conference play after winning their final two games.
