Quickplay announced on April 19 a series of new products, customer deployments, and industry partnerships during the NAB Show in Las Vegas. The company introduced Social Signals, an AI-driven tool designed to identify trending topics and connect them with relevant content for rapid social media publishing.

The developments are significant as they aim to help broadcasters and content creators quickly respond to cultural moments by automating workflows that traditionally took days. Social Signals is part of Quickplay’s broader AI Studio Solution, which also features metadata enrichment, moment detection, smart verticalization, and multi-platform publishing capabilities.

Social Signals was first implemented through a partnership with Visible Things. Additionally, Quickplay reported it has consolidated Gray Media’s streaming operations onto a single platform that now manages hundreds of channels across major services like Amazon Prime Video and Roku. The system delivers hyper-local content to over one-third of U.S. TV households. In another deployment, Quickplay completed the cloud-native transformation of Television New Zealand’s TVNZ+ streaming platform within twelve months by consolidating multiple vendors into one unified system using Amazon Web Services as its preferred cloud provider.

Paul Pastor, Co-Founder and Chief Business Officer at Quickplay said: “Broadcasters don’t need another point solution. They need an AI-enabled operating system that turns content into measurable outcomes.” He added that the company’s efforts at NAB focus on uniting cultural trends with distribution workflows to create real-time engagement opportunities.

In collaboration with Caretta Research, Quickplay will release research titled “The Broadcaster Revolution Will Not Be Televised,” highlighting how North American broadcasters spend about three-quarters of their time on technical tasks rather than creating content. The report suggests automated systems can help meet growing demand for short-form video while maintaining editorial standards.

Quickplay also joined NAB PILOT to work alongside other innovators in advancing broadcast technology and expanding media opportunities for broadcasters.

PR Newswire operates in more than 170 countries and supports distribution in 40 languages according to the official website. It aims for global reach through its network of newsrooms and influencers as detailed on the official website. PR Newswire features expert editors providing around-the-clock support and SEO guidance according to the official website. Its operations extend across more than 170 countries with support in multiple languages as noted on the official website. The organization collaborates with over half a million media outlets worldwide according to the official website, offering services such as press release distribution, AI-enhanced tools, and social sharing features outlined on its official website.

As digital transformation accelerates within broadcasting globally, companies like Quickplay continue investing in automation tools intended to streamline production processes while expanding audience engagement.
