During a press conference, Rep. Jeff Keicher addressed concerns regarding the current state of chaos in Illinois state agencies under Governor Pritzker’s administration. He highlighted the increase in the state’s annual budget from $39 billion to $54 billion during the Governor’s six-year tenure. Rep. Keicher emphasized that despite the budget rise, essential agencies such as the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) and the Department of Human Services (DHS) continue to struggle in serving the vulnerable population effectively.

He urged for bipartisan cooperation, stating, “It’s time for the Governor and Democrats to stop the banter and join Republicans in reform efforts to end this chaos at state agencies.”

Keicher’s remarks call for a collaborative approach to resolve ongoing issues within these state departments.
