Rep. Nikki Budzinski, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Illinois’ 13th district, recently shared updates on several key initiatives and announcements through her social media account.

On April 10, Budzinski addressed ongoing recovery efforts in St. Clair County following the 2022 floods. She stated, “Helping St. Clair County recover from the 2022 floods is one of my top priorities. I’m pleased to announce that we just secured $30 million of federal disaster aid for Cahokia Heights, Caseyville, East St. Louis, Dupo and East Carondelet!”

In another social media post on April 10, Budzinski reminded residents of Illinois’ 13th district about an approaching deadline. She noted, “Attention #IL13! Tomorrow is the LAST DAY to submit your art to the 2025 Congressional Art Competition. For more information, visit https://t.co/SzpOFENnIo.”

Addressing economic issues on April 11, Budzinski expressed concerns over recent federal budget decisions. She commented, “As egg prices hit a record high this week, House Republicans passed a budget that includes $230 billion in cuts to SNAP. We should be working together to lower costs – not ripping food away from working families.”

Nikki Budzinski has been serving in the U.S. Congress since 2023, representing Illinois’ 13th District after replacing former U.S. Congress member Rodney Davis. Born in Peoria, Illinois, in 1977, Budzinski lives in Springfield and graduated from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in 1999 with a BA.
