Today, State Representative Jeff Keicher supported House Resolution 249 as a co-sponsor. This resolution, which has bipartisan backing, acknowledges the Fall of Saigon and honors the sacrifices made by both Vietnamese and Americans for the ideals of freedom and democracy.

The signing coincides with the 50th anniversary of Saigon’s fall, marking the end of a challenging period in American military history. Many Americans died in Vietnam in an effort to stop the spread of communism, and many more came back with the wounds of war. The resolution extends gratitude to Vietnam Veterans for their service and sacrifice.
