This week, Ag Day was observed at the Illinois State Fair, recognizing the contributions of farmers, ranchers, and agricultural industry leaders in Illinois. Agriculture is a central part of the state’s economy and daily life.
” Agriculture is not just our state’s #1 industry, it’s the backbone of our economy, our communities, and our way of life,” said Rep. Wayne Rosenthal during the event.
He also expressed appreciation for those involved in agriculture: “A big thank you to all who work the land, raise livestock, and support ag-related businesses.”
Rep. Wayne Rosenthal was seen discussing issues with IDNR Director Jerry Costello, Jr. at the fair. Rosenthal, a Republican, has represented Illinois’ 108th House District since 2023 after succeeding Charles Meier.
