2. Pre-Travel Approval for Deputy Auditor, Eric Black to attend the Government Finance Officers Association Annual Conference in Orlando, FL from 6/8-6/12/24 at a cost of $2,791.65.

2. Approval to hire Joe Showtis for the position of Recording/Data Entry/Verifier at an annual salary of $40,000/$20.5128 effective 1/22/24. The previous employee was promoted on 1/22/24 and left the position at an annual salary of $45,843.52. 

Court Services, Kent Holsopple 

1. Approval to hire a replacement Secretary at an annual salary of $33,961 effective 1/29/24; the previous employee left the position at an annual salary of $33,961 on 12/26/23 and left the payroll system on 12/22/23. The previous employee had been in unpaid status since 12/8/23 and her final paycheck was 12/22/23. 

Veterans Assistance Commission 

1. Approval to hire an Administrative Assistant at an annual salary of $34,000 effective 1/17/24. This is a new position for FY24. 

2. Approval to hire a replacement Associate Veterans Service Officer at an annual salary of $36,000 effective 1/17/24; the previous employee left the position at an annual salary of $35,054 on 9/26/23 and left the payroll system on 10/13/23. 

Coroner’s Office, Jim Allmon 

1. Approval to hire a replacement Part Time Death Investigator II at an hourly salary of $20 effective 1/17/24; the previous employee left the position at an hourly salary of $20 on 10/1/23 and left the payroll system on 10/31/23. 

2. Approval to hire a Death Investigator II (this is a new position) at an annual salary of $45,766 effective 1/19/24. 

State’s Attorney, John Milhiser 

1. Approval to hire a replacement Assistant State’s Attorney at an annual salary range of $76,710-93,052 effective on or after 1/17/24; the previous employee was promoted on 7/25/22 and left the position at an annual salary of $77,500. 

2. Approval to hire a replacement Assistant State’s Attorney Level 1 at an annual salary range of $62,400 to $68,045 effective on or after 1/17/24; the previous employee went off Fellowship status on 3/14/21 and left the position at an annual salary of $49,104. 

3. Approval to hire a replacement Assistant State’s Attorney Level 1 at an annual salary range of $62,400 to $68,045 effective on or after 1/17/24; the previous employee left the position at an annual salary of $47,000 on 10/27/23 and left the payroll on 11/9/23. 

4. Approval to hire a replacement Assistant State’s Attorney Level 1 at an annual salary range of $62,400 to $68,045 effective on or after 1/17/24; the previous employee left the position at an annual part time salary of up to $30,000 on 7/6/22 and left the payroll system on 7/22/22. 

5. Approval to renew a grant (w/ County Board Resolution) from the Illinois Attorney General’s Office for the Violent Crimes Victim Assistance Grant in the amount of $41,000. No matching funds required.
