The Finance Committee of Sangamon County, Illinois will be meeting tonight at 5 to discuss regional planning matters and other items.
The committee will be considering the approval of the hiring of the American Environmental Corp. to carry out planning services in order to establish a Commodity Flow Study. The committee will also be reviewing the Springfield Area Transportation Study that is expected to have grant support of approximately $530,781 with required matching funds.
This meeting will also consist of the review and voting to approve the meeting minutes from the committee’s previous meeting on March 8.
Travel and pre-travel requests will also be discussed during this meeting. This will include the travel expenses for Chief Probation Officer Mike Torchia that would allow him to attend the Swift, Certain and Fair Supervision Training in Chicago. This event will be taking place on April 1 with a cost of $127.
Pre-travel requests would also be for participation at the National Criminal Justice Training, taking place in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This will be taking place between Aug. 29 and Sept. 2. The other travel event is taking place between June 5-8 in Washington D.C. and would be to participate in the National Children’s Alliance Conference.
