The Springfield Housing Authority discussed pending home-repair and property-management agreements during a recent meeting.

The agency voted on several resolutions, including a proposed $43,480 contract with Michael Lantz and Sons Builders Inc. for foundation repairs at Genesis Place Homes and a proposed extension of a management agreement between the agency and Timberlake Estates Apartments LP.

A vote on an amendment to the Springfield Housing Authority Retirement Plan also was expected at the meeting.

The Springfield Housing Authority is focused on providing affordable housing for individuals and families. The authority also offers self-sufficiency programs that help residents obtain economic independence through the Family Self-Sufficiency program. This includes assistance in obtaining employment, education and other opportunities.
