Williams Township Cemeteries Board of Trustees met July 10
Williams Township Cemeteries Board of Trustees met July 10.
Here is the minutes as provided by the board:
The Williams Township Cemetery Board was called to order at 0625 P.M. by President Nadine Hayward. In attendance were Trustees Mark Phillips and Duane Weiss. Guest present was Rich Bond.
The June 12, 2017 minutes were reviewed and a motion to approve the minutes was made by Mark Phillips and Duane Weiss seconded.
The monthly finances were reviewed. Duane Weiss made a motion to approve with Mark Phillips providing the second.
Duane Weiss will mark the boundary corners at Walnut Hill Cemetery and then will call Mark and Nadine to help mark out sections, lots, and graves.
Several of the bricks in Section 2 at Wolf Creek Cemetery have been located. Duane is still on the “hunt” for more! Also, we discussed the possibility of pulling the 2 overgrown bushes on the southeast corner.
We have been asked on several occasions to set up chairs for funeral services for cremains who did not hire vault companies. Recently, we were asked to set up a tent, as well as chairs, which led to a discussion about whether we should purchase good chairs and/or a tent. Also, Nadine stated that she had talked to Boardman and Smith Funeral Home and they stated that vault companies charge a $400 set up fee. So, should we be charging a set-up fee? How much do we want to provide?
Rich Bond stopped in as we were discussing our difficulty with storage and garage space. We have equipment in several garages and keeping inventory of everything. We agreed storage is an issue and tossed around several ideas.
