Mayor Report
Mayor Luckey asked if everyone would be in favor of appointing Mr. Gene Pedigo as a trustee. All board
members were in approval and Mr. Pedigo was appointed.
In May, Mayor Luckey sent a letter to a Curran resident informing him that he had 30 days to move one of his
trailers off of his single-family lot. He currently has two trailers hooked up to the same septic system and this is
in violation of a village ordinance. This individual did not comply with the request and will be fined $75.
Finance
Treasurer Bilyeu is currently working on the annual audit.
Action Agenda
The board meeting went into closed session to discuss and vote on the Real Estate Transaction Related to
Public Improvements that needs to be submitted to the USDA. This package includes recorded easements,
information regarding right-of-ways and railroad Crossing License Agreement along with various other
documents. Our Village attorney, Chuck Davis, is still waiting for copies of the IDOT permits from the engineer
and approval from the city of Springfield regarding the overlap of their easements on seven parcels.
All board members approved the submission of these documents to the USDA.
