Sangamon County Employee Services Committee met Oct. 2.

Here is the minutes provided by the Committee:

Members Present: Tony DelGiorno, Tim Krell, Jason Ratts, Vera Small

Members Absent: Pam Deppe, Jeff Thomas

Others Present: Mike Cowles, Dwayne Gab, Brad Hammond, Charlie Stratton, Denise E. McCrady (Secretary)

Chair Krell called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m.

Krell requested a motion to approve the minutes of the September 5, 2017 meeting. A motion was made by DelGiorno and seconded by Small. Motion carried (4-0).

Dwayne Gab, Assistant State’s Attorney, addressed the Committee requesting approval of travel requests for Dan Wright to attend the ILSAAP Violent Crime Conference held in North Riverside Park on October 5-6, for Jennifer Mathew to attend the MDT Immersion Conference held in Indiana on September 10-15, and for Tamara Richmond and Holli Gleason to attend the Illinois Prosecutor Based Victim Assistants Association Annual Conference held in Vernon Hills on October 25-26. A motion to approve all four travel requests was made by DelGiorno and seconded by Ratts. Motion carried (4-0).

Gab requested approval of a promotion/salary adjustment for Mark Gillingham from ASA-Traffic/Misdemeanor to ASA-Felony with an increase in annual salary from $45,787 to $48,000 effective October 23, 2017 and approval to hire a replacement ASA at an annual salary of $45,000 effective October 23, 2017. A motion to approve both requests was made by DelGiorno and seconded by Small. Motion carried (4-0).

Brad Hammond, Auditor’s Office, addressed the Committee requesting approval to accept the quote submitted by Troxell Insurance to assist in the administration of the County’s insurance programs for FY-2018. The quote submitted was for $72,200. This premium is the same premium quoted since FY-2014. A motion to approve the request was made by Ratts and seconded by DelGiorno. Motion carried (4-0).

Krell requested a motion to approve the requisitions. A motion was made by DelGiorno and seconded by Small. Motion carried (4-0).

There was no old business or public comment.

A motion to adjourn was made DelGiorno and seconded by Small. Motion carried (4-0). Meeting adjourned.
