Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

The following members answered roll call at the regular meeting of the Auburn Board of Education September 18, 2017: Present: Fred Jessup, John Megginson, Mike Heren, Scott Norris, Chuck DuBois and Matt Kern (phone). Absent: Josh Smith. Also present were Darren Root, Matt Grimm, Mark Dudley, Amy Donaldson, Nathan Essex, Emma Warwick, Marley Horn, Lauren Stade, Grace Hunley, Abby Fritz, Erin Bidleman, Sandy Jones, Sarah Smith, and Ruby Howard secretary to the board.

DuBois moved to approve Matt Kern’s attendance by phone. Megginson seconded the motion. The voting was as follows:

DuBois yea Megginson yea

Heren yea Norris yea

Jessup yea Smith absent

Kern yea

There being 6 “yeas”, 0 “nays”, the president declared the motion carried.

Heren moved to adopt the amended agenda. Norris seconded the motion. The voting was as follows:

DuBois yea Megginson yea

Heren yea Norris yea

Jessup yea Smith absent

Kern yea

There being 6 “yeas”, 0 “nays”, the president declared the motion carried.

Heren moved to open FY18 Budget Hearing. Megginson seconded the motion. The voting was as follows:

Jessup yea Smith absent

Kern yea

There being 6 “yeas”, 0 “nays”, the president declared the motion carried.

Jessup asked for discussion / public comment. There was none.

Norris moved to close the FY18 Budget Hearing. Megginson seconded the motion. The voting was as follows:

Jessup yea Smith absent

Kern yea

There being 6 “yeas”, 0 “nays”, the president declared the motion carried.

Heren moved to adopt the FY18 Budget. DuBois seconded the motion. The voting was as follows:
