Springfield Township Board of Trustees met April 10.

Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

Present: Supervisor Gary Budd, Trustees Don Willett, Mike Morris, Arthur Watts, Shannon Lynch, Clerk Robert Remack, Road Commissioner Ron Smith, Assessor Cinda Sausaman, Collector Janine Stroble.

Meeting called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Supervisor Gary Budd.

The Treasurer’s report and minutes of the Board Meeting March 14, 2018 were reviewed. A motion was made by Mike Morris and seconded by Arthur Watts to accept the treasurer’s report and approve the minutes. All voted aye. Motion carried.

Bills were submitted to the Town Board for authorization to pay. A motion was made by Shannon Lynch and seconded by Don Willett that said bills be authorized for payment. All voted aye. Motion carried.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS: $100.00 was collected from the Dumpster Program the 1st Saturday of April and an additional $220.00 was collected during office hours.

The recycling/ shredding event will be held on May 5th. Ultimate Electronic Recycling will be on site from 9a.m. to 2p.m. and Affordable Shred will be on site from 10a.m. to 12p.m. Chairman Gary Budd request $75.00 to pay the recycling company driver. He also asked for funds to be made available in the amount of $1,000.00 to $5,000.00 for payment to Ultimate Electronic Recycling to pick up and dispose of electronics the township has stored on site as the result of fly dumping.

Chairman Gary Budd reported the newsletter will go to A & B Printing tomorrow. Could be mailed next week. If it gets a good response, he would like to do this twice a year.

NEW BUSINESS: A motion was made by Arthur Watts and seconded by Mike Morris to adopt the Road District Budget Ord#2018-2019-02 in the amount of $244,206.00. An individual voice vote was taken. All voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Shannon Lynch and seconded by Don Willett to adopt the Town Budget Ord#2018-2019-03 in the amount of $234.372.00. An individual voice vote was taken. All voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion to adjourn was made by Shannon Lynch and seconded by Arthur Watts. All voted aye. Motion carried.
