Rep. Tim Butler (R-Springfield) took a moment on the House floor to publicly praise one of his district’s local businesses, a popular pub with a loyal clientele.
“Over here on the Lincoln side, I have my friend here, Bill Larson, who is the owner of Buzz Bomb Brewing in downtown Springfield,” Butler announced at a House floor debate.
Buzz Bomb Brewing Co., at 406 East Adams St., has only been open on weekends, Butler noted. Many people wonder why a place that so many patrons enjoy does not extend its hours, he added.

“But today they will finally be open on the weekdays,” Butler said.
Talk about a non-partisan issue. He reminded his peers in the House that there was not much on the legislative schedule that evening, suggesting that a visit to Buzz Bomb Brewing might be in order.
“So, I encourage you to go to Buzz Bomb Brewery on Adams Street between 4th and 5th,” Butler said. “Thanks for being here, Bill.”
