Chatham Police Department issued the following announcement on Oct. 25.
Parents, going along with our recent post about child predators now using Fortnite to lure kids, here is a list of some of the more common apps and games they are currently using as well. This is not an all inclusive list however, and any social media app or game allowing interpersonal communication can be exploited.
"It's critical that parents talk to their children about social media and chat apps to let them know that the people they encounter may not be who they initially seemed to be."
