Report: Pawnee spent $8,808 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Pawnee Community Unit School District 11 is up 5.4 percent from five years ago, according to a Sangamon Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Sangamon County school district spent $8,353 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $8,808 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 612 to 605.

Pawnee's spending in 2017-18 was 34 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
