Route 97/ Walnut Street home prices fall in the second quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2017 in Route 97/ Walnut Street, a Springfield neighborhood, fell by $800 while total sales increased by 37.5%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2017, there were 11 homes sold, with a median sale price of $57,200 - a 1.4% decrease over the $58,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were eight homes sold in Route 97/ Walnut Street in the second quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in Route 97/ Walnut Street for 2017 was $1,505.26. In 2016, the median sales tax was $1,478.70. This marks an increase of 1.8%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.6%.
