Salisbury/ Farmingdale home prices fall in the first half of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2017 in Salisbury/ Farmingdale, a Springfield neighborhood, fell by $32,250 while total sales increased by 19.1%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2017, there were 131 homes sold, with a median sale price of $200,000 - a 13.9% decrease over the $232,250 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 110 homes sold in Salisbury/ Farmingdale in the first half of 2016.

The median sales tax in Salisbury/ Farmingdale for 2017 was $4,582. In 2016, the median sales tax was $4,913. This marks an decrease of 6.7%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.3%.
