Route 4/ Wabash Avenue home prices rise in the first half of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2017 in Route 4/ Wabash Avenue, a Springfield neighborhood, rose by $9,650 while total sales increased by 14.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2017, there were 55 homes sold, with a median sale price of $149,900 - a 6.9% increase over the $140,250 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 48 homes sold in Route 4/ Wabash Avenue in the first half of 2016.

The median sales tax in Route 4/ Wabash Avenue for 2017 was $3,448. In 2016, the median sales tax was $3,396. This marks an increase of 1.5%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.3%.
