Route 4/ Route 97 home prices rise in the first half of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2017 in Route 4/ Route 97, a Springfield neighborhood, rose by $8,000 while total sales decreased by 1.9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2017, there were 51 homes sold, with a median sale price of $90,500 - a 9.7% increase over the $82,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 52 homes sold in Route 4/ Route 97 in the first half of 2016.

The median sales tax in Route 4/ Route 97 for 2017 was $1,853. In 2016, the median sales tax was $1,907. This marks an decrease of 2.8%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2%.
