College Street/ Ash Street home prices fall in the first half of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2017 in College Street/ Ash Street, a Springfield neighborhood, fell by $20,500 while total sales increased by 13.8%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2017, there were 66 homes sold, with a median sale price of $77,250 - a 21% decrease over the $97,750 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 58 homes sold in College Street/ Ash Street in the first half of 2016.

The median sales tax in College Street/ Ash Street for 2017 was $2,064. In 2016, the median sales tax was $2,017. This marks an increase of 2.3%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.7%.
