Truman State defeats Illinois College women's tennis team in non-conference match

Truman State University defeated the Illinois College women's tennis team 7-0 in a non-conference match held Tuesday evening at the Truman Tennis Courts in Kirksville, Missouri.

With this result, the Lady Blues' season record stands at 4-5. The Division II Bulldogs secured the opening doubles matches to take an early lead. In singles play, Truman State won all six matches in straight sets. Illinois College's Lily Ingram and Clara Bach managed to win seven and six games respectively in their singles matches at No. 4 and No. 2 positions.

Looking ahead, Illinois College will return to Jacksonville for two home matches on Saturday at the Bellatti Tennis Center. The Lady Blues are scheduled to play Franklin at 9:00 a.m., followed by Olivet Nazarene at 3:00 p.m.
