Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) has appointed Charmaine Weis, MSML, as System Vice President of Marketing and Communications. Weis brings almost three decades of experience in healthcare marketing and communications. Her background includes building teams focused on service line marketing, corporate communications, change management, engagement initiatives for colleagues and patients, brand transformation, and strategic planning.
"My passion is to advance patient-centered care and enhance brand loyalty through colleague engagement, consumer and patient experience," Weis said. "I feel extremely blessed to serve at HSHS as I’m connected to our Core Values and history. She also held the position of Director of Marketing and Communications at SCL Health between January 2006 and October 2019, where she contributed to integrating Platte Valley Medical Center into SCL Health and led various marketing and public relations campaigns.
Earlier in her career, Weis co-owned Creative Marketing Solutions-A Weis Solution, a full-service marketing firm. She began her professional journey as a communications specialist in the corporate sector.
Weis earned her Master of Science in Management and Leadership from Western Governors University and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, Media Studies, and Marketing from Metropolitan State University of Denver.
