Prairie Cardiovascular and HSHS Medical Group have announced that SirJohn D. Thomas, APRN, has joined their team at 619 E. Mason St., Springfield. Thomas specializes in electrophysiology and has a background in emergency and critical care nursing.

Thomas emphasized his approach to patient care: "My philosophy centers on compassion, integrity and respect for each person’s unique journey. I believe every patient deserves equitable, evidence-based care delivered with empathy and understanding." He added, "By fostering open communication, encouraging questions and involving patients in decisions about their health, I empower individuals to take an active role in their care." Thomas also stated his commitment to building trusting relationships with patients and families throughout the stages of care.
