HSHS Home Care is inviting the public to a candlelight memorial service on Tuesday, December 9, at 5 p.m. The event will take place in the chapel of HSHS St. John’s Hospital, located at 800 E. Carpenter St., Springfield.
The memorial service aims to provide a space for community members to honor and remember loved ones who have passed away during the holiday season. Attendees are encouraged to bring photographs of their loved ones to place on a memorial board during the event.
Additional candlelight memorials organized by HSHS Home Care will also be held in other locations across the region. On Thursday, December 4, a service will take place at HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital Chapel in Effingham. Another service is scheduled for Thursday, December 11, at HSHS St. Elizabeth’s Hospital Chapel in O’Fallon.
