Three players from the Illinois College Lady Blues volleyball team have received All-Conference honors after the conclusion of the regular season. Senior Laura Kaiser was selected for the First Team, while seniors Haylie Orton and Summer Brandis were named to the Second Team.
Kaiser, who is from Chatham, Illinois, finished eighth in the conference for hitting percentage at .291 and ninth in blocks per set with 0.69. She recorded a total of 20 blocks during conference play.
Orton, from Mahomet, Illinois, achieved a .331 hitting percentage, which was sixth-best in the league. She ranked fifteenth with 2.38 kills per set and contributed 15 service aces—seventh-most in the conference—as well as 16 blocks.
Brandis, hailing from Taylorville, Illinois, managed the team's offense and placed third in the conference with 177 assists over 30 sets.
The Lady Blues ended their regular season with a 5-3 record in conference play and secured the No. 4 seed for the upcoming tournament. Their next match will be against Cornell College on Friday at 7:00 p.m. in Mount Vernon, Iowa.
