I visited Wauconda High School’s economics class today, engaging with students on economic theories and influential economists. The discussion covered the works of Friedman, Sowell, Smith, Keynes, and Marx. Students watched Milton Friedman’s pencil speech followed by a question-and-answer session.

“I encouraged the students to consider starting a business someday — it’s one of the best learning experiences America offers,” was my advice to the budding economists.

“Go Bulldogs!” I added in support of their school spirit.
