The Capital Township budget was $2.48 million for its 2016 fiscal year.

That's a decrease of 19.4 percent from 2015, when the township spent $3.08 million.

Since 2001, the Capital Township budget has fallen by 11.3 percent, from $2.80 million. The township population has grown 13.9 percent over the same period, from 101,000.
