The Greater Springfield, Illinois Chamber of Commerce (GSCC) recently provided details on its Business Connections 2016 trade show that will be taking place on April 28.
The event will feature business workshops in areas that include marketing, social media, bank lending, small business resources and other topics. The workshops will be presented by SCORE, a company that specializes in mentorship in business.
This event will also feature the Sangamon CEO Business program as students within the program will be presenting information that they have gained while working with local business leaders. The program is a collaborative effort between local business owners and the school districts of Sangamon County. This program focused on the challenges associated with the management and operation of a business.
This event is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. and is scheduled to run until 7 p.m. at the Prairie Capital Convention Center in Springfield.
Registration is currently ongoing; there is a discounted fee for those businesses that register for booths before April 8. Booths may also be registered for nonprofit organizations. The event allows businesses and other organizations to showcase their respective services and products and there are networking opportunities available.
