Springfield City Council considers joining state blight-reduction program

Meeting 07

At a meeting this week, the Springfield City Council considered a resolution proposing that the village participate in the Illinois Housing Development Authority Blight Reduction Program.

The Springfield City Council includes one elected alderman from each of the city’s 10 wards, along with the mayor, city clerk and city treasurer. The council meets on the first and third Tuesday of every month.
